MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Dale Stephen Thierry Rose, 56, of Marble Hill died unexpectedly Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, at Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter, Mo.

Born on Feb. 4, 1957, in Nancy, France, he was the son of Jimmie Dale Rose and Augusta Agastein Rothstein. As an infant he came to the United States and was raised in Wickes, Ark.

On April 20, 1985, he married Terrie Kay Eftink at St. John Catholic Church at Leopold, Mo.

Dale was a mechanic, trained and certified for several industries. He worked as a diesel, small-engine and large-engine mechanic and held safety certifications for industries. He was currently working for Nestle-Purina Manufacturing near Bloomfield, Mo.

He was a member and Junior Past-Worthy President of Bollinger County Eagles 4473, a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus with Council 5898 at Leopold and a member of St. John Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Terrie; a daughter, Stephanie Rose of Marble Hill; a son, Jesse Rose of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Tina Hensley of DeQueen, Ark., Sherry Land of Wickes, Ark., and Tammy Rose of Arkansas; and two brothers, Gerry Rose of Hatfield, Ark., and James Rose of DeQueen.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m., with a Knights of Columbus rosary.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. John Church in Leopold. The Rev. William Hennecke will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
