KELSO, Mo. -- Dale Vincent Reeves, 82, of Kelso died Thursday, Nov. 24, 2005, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born on July 13, 1923 in Illmo,son of Luther Lelander and Martha Marie Davis Reeves.
He and Marie D. LeGrand were married July 3, 1948 in Kelso. She died April 27, 2004.
He was owner of Dale V. Reeves Painting Co. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army Air Force.
He was past post commander of VFW Post 6407 and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, Knights of Columbus Council 6420 in Scott City and 4th Degree Assembly 2283 in Scott City.
Survivors include two daughters, LaDonna Gosche and Deanna Brown, both of Kelso; four brothers, Dorris Reeves of Seattle, Wash., Don Reeves of Peoria, Ill., Ray Reeves of Baja, Calif., Roy Lee Reeves of Fruitland; a sister, Reva Maxine Hamm of Lone Oak, Ark., three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Parish prayers will be at 6:30 p.m. with Knights of Columbus prayers following.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Augustine Catholic Church, with the Rev. Oliver Clavin officiating. Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery with military rites by the Missouri Funeral Honors Program.
