Daisy Williams

Daisy Williams, daughter of the late Andrew and Lenora St. Cin Warner, was born March 28, 1924 in Perkins, Missouri, and departed her life Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau at the age of 98.

On Nov. 11, 1940, she married James Adriel Williams. He preceded her in death Sept. 9, 2001.

She is survived by two daughters, Bethel Lindy of Oran, Missouri, and Yvonne Lucille Mezo of Marion, Illinois; son-in-law, Donald Mezo of Marion, Illinois; sister-in-law, Peggy Clark; grandson, Thomas Petitt III; great-granddaughter, Taylor Marie Petitt; and many nieces and nephews.

Apart from her parents and husband, Daisy was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Dana Yvonne Lindy; four brothers; two sisters; and a nephew, James "Jimmy" Williams.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Oran First Baptist Church in Oran, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Interment will follow at Williams Cemetery in Perkins.
