ANNA, Ill. -- Daisy G. White, 93, of Anna died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2004, at City Care Center in Anna.
She was born Oct. 1, 1910, un Union County, Ill., daughter of John and Minnie Elkins Pitts.
She and Alva M. White were married Nov. 25, 1927, in Monroe, Mich. He died July 24, 1995.
She was a member of Jonesboro Methodist Church. She and her sister had operated the Wagon Wheel restaurant on Highway 146 in the 1950s, and she later operated Daisy's Cafe at her home on the east edge of Anna.
Survivors include four sons, Bob White of Cape Girardeau, Bill White of Bloomington, Ill., Don White of Murphysboro, Ill., Carl White of Makanda, Ill.; two daughters, Fran Boes of Sioux Falls, S.D., Mary Ruth Hawk of Anna; two sisters, Evelyn Boomer and Helen Fear, both of Anna; 16 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and a brother.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with grandson Todd Hawk officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
