Funeral service for Daisy A. Nance, 123 S. Park, will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. Dennis Fitzsimmons will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.
Nance, 90, died Tuesday, July 2, 1996, at Fountainbleau Lodge.
She was born June 13, 1906, at Burfordville, daughter of John and Odie Young Nance. She and Adam C. Nance were married April 6, 1922, at Jackson. He died April 5, 1952.
Nance began work at Valet Laundry in 1937, and later worked at Cape Cleaners, Sunshine Cleaners, Patrick Cleaners, and Dorothy Dress Factory. She was a member of Gospel Assembly Church in Anna, Ill.
Survivors include three sons, Clifford Nance of Little Rock, Ark., Cletus Nance of Fruitland, James Nance of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Virgie Hill Craft and Marjorie Roberts of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Midge Williamson of Chaffee, Etta Swindell of Delta, Margie Fenimore of Kansas City, Kan.; five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, daughter, four brothers, a sister and a grandson.
