DAISY F. STEIMEL

HERMANN -- Daisy Frieda Steimel, 96, formerly of Jackson, died Monday, Feb. 15, 1999, at Frene Valley Health Center in Hermann.

She was born Dec. 10, 1902, near Millersville, daughter of Frank and Corinthia Summers McClard.

On June 19, 1921, she married Fred Steimel. He preceded her in death.

Steimel was a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church in Jackson.

She had worked at the former International Shoe Factory in Jackson. After moving to St. Louis, she worked at the Small Arms Ammunition Factory and Shapleigh Hardware Co. Returning to Jackson, she was employed by the Ben Schade family and retired in 1966.

Survivors include a son, Roy Steimel of Hermann.

A son, four brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Scott Lohse officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
