She was born April 29, 1899, in Jackson, daughter of John and Alpha Stewart Fox. She and Verne Adams were married Dec. 24, 1924, in Memphis, Tenn. He died in 1975.

Survivors include a nephew, Rex Lewis of Jackson.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
