D.A. MIDDLETON

PORTAGEVILLE -- David Arthur Middleton, 81, died Monday, June 19, 1995 at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Oct. 17, 1913, in Henderson County in Tennessee, son of Will and Monnie MIddleton.

He married Helen Baxter April 25, 1933. She preceded him in death.

Survivors are two sons, Billy Middleton of San Diego and Bobby Middleton of Jackson, Tenn.; three daughters, Ruth Moore of Red Bud, Ill., Lois Keaster of Risco and Brenda Wheetley of Sikeston; a brother, Earl Middle of New Madrid; two sisters, Audrey Bright of Crowder, and Irene White of Lexington, Tenn.; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Middleton was a farmer before retiring. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Portageville.

Visitation will continue today from noon until time of the funeral at 2 at Ponder Funeral Home in Lilbourn.

The Rev. Eugene Poole will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mounds Cemetery near Lilbourn.
