Cyril "Cy" Trock, 71, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Springfield, Missouri, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
He was born March 18, 1943, in Chicago, to Philip and Shirley Publicar Trock. He and Carol Warning were married June 8, 1968, in Cape Girardeau.
Cy was a devoted family man with a wonderful sense of humor and a twinkle in his eye.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a young man.
Cy spent many years working alongside his wife in the interior decorating business and was an accomplished carpenter.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Carol Trock of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Kristie Suzanne (Terry Scott) Hilgedick of Hartsburg, Missouri, and Amy Elizabeth (Tre) Wallhausen of Cape Girardeau; a grandson, William "Oscar" Hilgedick of Hartsburg; and a nephew, Scott Trock of Chicago.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Jennifer Lynn Trock; and a brother, Gilbert Trock.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home, with the Rev. Greg Heinsman officiating. Burial will be in Springfield at a later date.
