NEW HAMBURG -- Cyril Earl "Bill" Brucker, 78, of New Hamburg, died Saturday, Oct. 18, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Sept. 17, 1919, in Oran, the son of Michael and Emma Scheeter Brucker. On Aug. 8, 1950, he married Florence Kluesner in Chaffee.
He worked until his retirement in 1981 as a farmer. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg.
He is survived by his wife; one son, Gary Brucker of New Hamburg; two daughters, Karen Seiler of Benton and Bonnie LeGrand of Kelso; one brother, Otto Brucker of Chaffee; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, three brothers and one sister.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton. A parish prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, with the Rev. Ralph Duffner officiating. Burial will follow in St. Lawrence church cemetery.
