OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Cynthia L. Ray, 64, of Olive Branch passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at Southeast Hospital.

She was born Jan. 6, 1948, in Fort Dix, N.J., to the late Daniel and Lillian Bleau Armstrong. She and Herman L. Ray were married Oct. 31, 1972, in Hollister, Calif.

Cynthia lived in California several years where she worked as a secretary for a wholesale produce company and was a manager for Prunedale Chevron before moving to Olive Branch. She was a member of Christian Biblical Church of God in Harrisburg, Ill.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Dana and John Ray of East Prairie, Mo., Jason Ray of Barlow, Ky.; six daughters and a son-in-law, Misti Carroll of Sunnyvale, Calif., Jeana Ray of Richland, Mo., Yvonne and Henry Miller of Dongola, Ill., Debbie Ray of New Madrid, Mo., Amy Dill of East Prairie, Amy Allred of Barlow; three brothers, Danny Armstrong of San Diego, Dana Armstrong of Thebes, Ill., James Armstrong of Denver; a sister, Patricia Hannan of Green Valley, Idaho; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and many friends.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. Sunday at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.

Graveside service will be at noon Sunday at Dogwood Cemetery, with Wendell Yeary officiating.

Pallbearers will be Justin Ray, Bryan Ray, Eric Ray, Bruce Ray, Henry Miller and Danny Ray.
