Cynthia Jo Dunning Ladd, 70, of Delta died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2022, at Southeast Hospital.
She was born July 21, 1952, in Cape Girardeau to Leonard and Betty Jo Gilder Dunning. She and Billy Gene Ladd were married May 27, 1995, at Delta. He preceded her in death July 4, 1999.
Cynthia was a graduate of Delta High School.
She worked for Florsheim Shoe in Cape Girardeau as a sewing machine operator. She also worked as a custodian for Southeast Missouri State University.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Delta.
Cynthia loved her granddaughters more than anything. Her granddaughters were her world. She also loved the St. Louis Cardinals, her cats and gardening.
Survivors include her companion, Dallis Coomer of Delta; son, Joshua (Tasha) Williams of Delta; daughter, Delaina (Danny) Coomer of Buncombe, Illinois; brother, Greg (Sandy) Dunning of Delta; two sisters, Linda (Michael) Hornbuckle of Delta and Nancy (John) Simminger of Cape Girardeau; and three granddaughters, Breanna Williams and Madelyn and Brinley Coomer.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, husband and an infant brother.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial service will follow at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at the funeral home. Private committal service will be at Bollinger County Memorial Park in Marble Hill, Missouri.
