Cynthia Jo "Cindy" King, 46, of Jackson passed away Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009, at her home.

She was born Jan. 17, 1963, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Kenneth L. and Norma L. Ridings Blankenship.

Cindy moved to Jackson from Cape Girardeau in 1973, and attended Jackson High School. She was a licensed practical nurse at Southeast Missouri Hospital and then at the Lutheran Home. She most recently worked at Save-a-lot in Jackson. Cindy was a member of Cornerstone Wesleyan Church in Scott City.

Loving survivors include her husband, Robin King of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Dana King of Cape Girardeau; three stepchildren, Tara King and Greg King of Cape Girardeau, Robert "Bobby" King of Indianapolis; her parents, Kenneth and Norma Blankenship of Benton, Mo.; a brother, Ricky Blankenship of Benton; three sisters, Vicki Sander of Marble Hill, Mo., Regina Masters of Benton, Katherine Davis of St. Joseph, Mo.; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Dylan Polen, and a stepson, Corey King.

Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until service time Saturday at Cornerstone Wesleyan Church, 210 East Outer Road, Scott City.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Joe Hudson officiating.

McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cindy King Memorial Fund.
