EAST PRAIRIE -- Curtis Howard Knupp, 93, of East Prairie died Sunday, Nov. 16, 1997, at East Prairie Nursing Center.
He was born Feb. 4, 1904, in Union County, Ill., son of James Andrew and Mary Frances Smithey Knupp. He and Amy Emory were married March 31, 1929. She died June 27, 1996.
Knupp retired from Brown Shoe Co. at Charleston in 1969. He lived in Mississippi County most of his life, and was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Knupp of St. Louis, Donald Knupp of Nashville, Tenn.; two daughters, Marilyn Glenn of Charleston, Myrna Little of Scott City; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Neil Franks and Jim Barnhart officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
