SIKESTON -- Curtis D. Barnett, 65, of Sikeston died Saturday, Aug. 15, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born Feb. 25, 1927, at Tuckerman, Ark., the son of John and Elsie Gray Barnett. On Jan. 8, 1945, he married Violet Hanshew in Bloomfield. She survives of the home.
For 25 years he worked as a foreman in the press room at the Sikeston Cotton Oil Mill.
Other survivors include a son, Dewayne Barnett of rural Benton; a daughter, Liz Ferrell of Sikeston; a brother, Jimmy Barnett of New Madrid; a sister, Gladys Taylor of Cave City, Ark.; and six grandchilren.
He also was preceded in death by a son and a brother.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, where funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Marvin Butrum and the Rev. Jesse Thomas will officiate, and burial will be in the New Morley Cemetery in Morley.
