Craig Lamburth, 58, of Cape Girardeau passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Dec. 19, 2021, at his home.
He was born on June 20, 1963, to Billy Vaughn and Patricia Diggs in Cape Girardeau.
Craig attended Egyptian High School, where he was a star athlete on the baseball and basketball teams that won the state championship. He owned and operated River City Cleaning for more than 30 years, where he enjoyed working alongside his brothers, daughters and grandchildren. In his free time, he enjoyed watching sports, playing blackjack and just spending time with his family.
Survivors include his daughters, Jamie Lamburth and Ashley (Justin) Williamson; four grandchildren, Brionna Lamburth, Jaylen Carter, Danielle Carter and Byron Carter; two great-grandchildren, Marshawn Patterson and Nevaeh Carter; mother and stepfather, Pat and Larry Lamburth; father, Billy Vaughn; brothers, Bryan Lamburth (Rebecca Scott) and Gene (Dena) Vaughn; sister, Terry Vaughn, nephews, Tyler Vaughn and Mark Vaughn; aunt, Shirley Diggs.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Brent.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at Crain Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Services will follow at noon with the Rev. Doug Atkins officiating. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge, Illinois.
