SIKESTON -- Charles Robert "C.R." Walker, 65, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, at his home.
He was born Jan. 26, 1935, at Bragg City, son of Lester and Ida Bridges Walker. He and Ruby Carroll were married Jan. 3, 1953. He later married Dollie Graham Nov. 23, 1968.
Walker worked at Riggs Wholesale Co. 40 years. He was a member of North Acres General Baptist Church. He moved to Sikeston in 1960 from Kennett.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Barbara Manley of Sikeston, Kathy Graham of Cape Girardeau; two stepsons, John Graham Jr. of Cape Girardeau, Robert Graham of Sikeston; a stepdaughter, Sandra Beedle of Sikeston; two brothers, Lavell Walker of Memphis, Tenn., Eugene Walker of Flint, Mich.; two sisters, Imogene Burnham of Flint, Margaret Gettings of Creve Coeur, Ill.; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. James Trotter officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
