COBDEN, Ill. -- Coy Girtman, 94, of Cobden died Friday, June 15, 2001, at Union County Hospital in Anna, Ill.
He was born June 10, 1907, in Johnson County, Ill., son of Theodore and Lilly Eastwood Girtman. He and Dorothy Mae Little were married Jan. 19, 1930, in Jonesboro, Ill. She died Oct. 1, 1988.
Girtman was the former manager of Cobden Fruit and Vegetable Market.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna Duty of Cobden, Judy Bolinger of Lansing, Mich.; three sons, Charles Girtman of Percy, Ill., Coy Girtman of Pulleys Mill, Ill., Joe Girtman of Cobden; a sister, Cassie Sherer of Anna; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, a son, two brothers, and three sisters.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden after 5 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Charles Bolinger, a son-in-law, officiating. Burial will be in Cobden Cemetery.
