PATTON, Mo. — Corrie "Nell" Yount, 75, of Herculaneum, Mo., formerly of Patton, died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Crystal City, Mo.
She was born Dec. 26, 1932, in Okolana, Miss., daughter of Talbot and Nina Jones Howell. She married J. Glen Yount.
Yount was an elementary teacher, having taught in Meadow Heights School District and later retiring from Dunklin School District. She was a member of MSTA, DAR, Festus-Crystal City Conservation Club, and was a member of Fairview Christian Church at Festus where she served as pianist and organist.
Survivors include her husband; five daughters, Kathryn Gritts of Sunset Hills, Mo., Linda Reid of Oklahoma City, Connie Adams of Woodson Terrace, Mo., Cheryl Pecka of Washington, Mo., Nancy Parks of Mayfield, Ky.; a sister, Annie White of Aberdeen, Miss.; and 15 grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Liley Funeral Home in Patton.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Norm Bell officiating. Burial will be in Patton Cemetery at Patton.
