Correan Hufstedler

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Correan Dockery Hufstedler, 85, of Sikeston died Friday, July 26, 2002, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born Dec. 23, 1916, in Conran, Mo., daughter of George Ebbin and Myrtle C. Thompson Dockery. She formerly was married to Arthur Lee Johnson. On March 22, 1940, in Hernando, Miss., she married S.D. "Dude" Hufstedler, who died Jan. 17, 1987.

She was a member of the Sikeston Community Church and owned and operated C&H Service Station in Sikeston. She volunteered at the American Cancer Society office in Sikeston for 17 years.

Survivors include two sons, Bobby Lee Johnson of Thornton, Colo., and Billy J. Johnson of Glenn Heights, Texas; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. Monday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Dolan Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
