CAIRO, Ill. -- Cornelia L. "Connie" Jones, 87, of Cairo died Monday, Nov. 14, 2005, at Daystar Care Center. She was born Dec. 9, 1917, at Chaffee, Mo., daughter of Herbert and Rose Glastetter Halter. CAIRO, Ill. -- Cornelia L. "Connie" Jones, 87, of Cairo died Monday, Nov. 14, 2005, at Daystar Care Center.

She was born Dec. 9, 1917, at Chaffee, Mo., daughter of Herbert and Rose Glastetter Halter. She married Albert H. Jones, who died in 1989.

Jones retired from Burkart Foam. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella.

Survivors include a sister, Irene Baker of Mounds, Ill.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Thursday.

The funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick's Church, with Monsignor Bill McGhee officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at Villa Ridge, Ill.
