CORENE HOFFMAN

ORAN -- Service for Corene Hoffman will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Guardian Angel Catholic Church at Oran, with Rev. Norman D. Varone officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran after 3 p.m. today. A parish rosary will be held at the funeral home today at 6 p.m.

Hoffman, 85 years old, of Perryville, died Friday, Jan. 11, 1991, at the Cape Girardeau Nursing Center.

She was born in Oran on Jan. 22, 1905, daughter of Andrew and Theresie Menz Pobst Hoffman.

On June 30, 1930, she married Harlie Helderman of Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death. She married Burnell Hoffman of Perryville on Nov. 3, 1951. He preceded her in death Dec. 16, 1980.

She worked 15 years as a surgical technician at Perry County Memorial Hospital before retirng.

She was a member of St. Vincent's de Paul Catholic Church. She was also a member of Daughters of St. Boniface.

Survivors include two brothers, Frank Pobst of Chaffee and Louis Pobst of Oran; sisters, Verneda Hahn of Oran and Martha Wagner of Jackson.

She was preceded in death by six sisters and three brothers.
