PUXICO -- Cordia Shrum Denton, 85, died Wednesday, April 19, 1995, at Ortonville, Mich.
She was born Aug. 17, 1909, at Puxico, the daughter of Victor and Pearl Glenn Shrum. She married Howard Denton in St. Louis.
A former Puxico resident, she had lived in St. Louis, Florida and Colorado and had been a Chaffee resident for 20 years before moving to Ortonville six months ago. She was a member of the Christian Church in Chaffee.
Survivors include two brothers, Vanis Shrum of Edwardsville, Ill., and Varnell Shrum of Wappapello; and a sister, Grace Walls of Ortonville.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1989, two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call today after 6 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico.
Funeral service will be Monday at 1 p.m. at the funeral chapel. The Rev. Wiley McGhee of Puxico will officiate, with burial in the Elliot Cemetery near Puxico.
