Cordelia B. Maevers, 71, Cape Girardeau Route 1, died Monday, June 1, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 26, 1920, at Egypt Mills, daughter of William and Caroline Schwettman Ervin. She and Elmo Maevers were married April 19, 1941, at Egypt Mills.

Maevers worked in the food services department at Southeast Missouri State University, retiring in 1983. She was a charter member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church, and former Sunday School teacher.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Larry Maevers of Great Falls, Mont.; two daughters, Carolyn Fisher-Colichia of Kingwood, Texas, Christy Benton of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Clara Marion of Cape Girardeau, and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five sisters and four brothers.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. The Rev. Louis Launhardt will officiate, with burial in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery at Egypt Mills.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
