DEXTER, Mo. -- Cora Roberts Parkinson, 75, of Dexter, died Friday, Dec. 15, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Nov. 29, 1925, in Malden, Mo., daughter of Richard and Madge Babb Childers. She and Jack Roberts were married March 3, 1941. He died Aug. 7, 1987. DEXTER, Mo. -- Cora Roberts Parkinson, 75, of Dexter, died Friday, Dec. 15, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Nov. 29, 1925, in Malden, Mo., daughter of Richard and Madge Babb Childers. She and Jack Roberts were married March 3, 1941. He died Aug. 7, 1987. In 1989, she married LeRoy Parkinson.

She was a homemaker and life-long resident of Dexter.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Morris Roberts of Plymouth, Ind., and Guy Roberts of Dexter; one daughter, Kay Rowe of Dexter; one stepson, Dennis Parkinson of Corning, Calif.; four stepdaughters, Clara Juanita Parkinson of Dexter, Carolyn Ross and Lois Hunt, both of Redding, Calif., and Marlene O'Quinn of Medford, Ore.; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donald Childers of Springfield, Mo., and Charles Childers of Osage Beach, Mo.; two sisters, Ann Anderson of Lemon Grove, Calif., and Wanda Stone of Chala Vista, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two daughters.

A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. Monday at Watkins and Sons Chapel in Dexter. Burial will be in Armsted-Dowdy Cemetery near Dexter.
