TAMMS, Ill. -- Conrad "Pete" Sims, 71, of Tamms died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2002, in Tamms.
He was born March 14, 1931, in Elco, Ill., son of John and Lucy Sharp Sims. He and Shelby Hunter were married Jan. 22, 1955.
Sims was a retired truck driver.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Rusty Sims of Vienna, Ill.; two daughters, Jackie Bledsoe of Olive Branch, Ill., Candy Bennett of Tamms; four sisters, Martha Baldwin and Cleta Poole of Anna, Ill., Esther Read of Tamms, Irma Shelton of Jonesboro, Ill.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and two sisters.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. Buddy Walls will officiate. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
