Connie Sue Cassout, 65, of Scott City died Thursday, April 6, 2023, at her home.
She was born Aug. 30, 1957, in Chaffee, Missouri, to Truman Edward and Betty Jewell Angle Pulliam. She married Kenneth Ray Cassout on April 3, 1980. He preceded her in death Nov. 30, 2020.
She loved gardening and passed her love of gardening to her daughters. Connie never met a stranger and to know her was to love her.
She is survived by three daughters, Stacey (Justin) Thompson of Dexter, Missouri, and LeAndra (John) Allen and Sarah (Blaine) Blaylock, both of Scott City; two brothers, Donnie (Glenda) Pulliam of Benton, Missouri, and David Huckabee of Cape Girardeau; six sisters, Carla Howard of Piedmont, Missouri, Helen (Mark) Gwinn of Kansas; Donna Kay Burke of Tamms, Illinois, Penny (Todd) Blattel of Gordonville, Carol (Chris) Stevens of Scott City and April (Kenny) Baker of Cape Girardeau; eight grandchildren, Aaron (Chelsy) Smith, Josh Armstrong, Katie Smith, Evan Smith, Oliva Armstrong, Colin Blaylock, Carly Blaylock and Austin Thompson; two great-grandchildren, Chandler and Waylon; and her fur babies, Murphy Ray and Otis.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and a stepson, Jeffrey Cassout.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 8, at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 8, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tommy Miller officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
