Colleen Lou Farrar, 86, of Cape Girardeau passed away Friday, May 19, 2023, in St. Louis.
She was born Aug. 11, 1936, in Alhambra, Illinois, to Gustav Bekemeyer and Lucinda Stieglitz. She and Carl Humphrey Farrar were married June 30, 1956, in Hamel, Illinois. He preceded her in death July 4, 2004.
Colleen was a Cape Girardeau County Realtor from 1982-2020, retiring from Realty Executives.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Colleen was a member of Cape Rock Homemakers and Morning Glory Bowling League.
Survivors include a son, Randy Farrar of Advance, Missouri; brother, Leonard Bekemeyer of Costa Mesa, California; sister, Carol Jarman of Jacksonville, Illinois; four grandchildren, Kristen (Derric) Borthwick of Fredicksburgh, Virginia, Gabrielle (Tyler) Horsman of Huger, South Carolina, Nathan (Mallory) Farrar of Memphis, Tennessee, and Amelia (Jesse) Farrar of Advance; and eight grandchildren, Sadie, Mykena, Maci, Kaylie, Naomie, Kylie, Seth and Addison.
Colleen was preceded in death by her parents, husband and grandchild, Jesse Farrar.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 24, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Memorial contributions may be given to Trinity Lutheran School.
