NEW HAMBURG, Mo. -- Colette Gosche Heath, 95, went peacefully home to be with the Lord Thursday, May 12, 2005. She passed away at St. Paul's Inpatient Care Center in San Diego, Calif.
She was an artist who painted china and taught painting classes in her studio many years.
She and her husband loved to travel. After his death she still made many trips abroad and in the United States.
She loved people, traveling, art, history and dining out. She will be remembered by many.
Aunt Colette was the daughter of Louis and Mary Schwartz Gosche of New Hamburg. She was born Oct. 6, 1909, on the family farm. She left Missouri in 1930 to go to Los Angeles, Calif. She and Ernie Heath were married Sept. 8, 1931, in Las Vegas, Nev. They moved to San Diego, where she lived until her death.
She is survived by a daughter, Betty Jean of northern California; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Louis Gosche; a brother, Raymond Gosche; six sisters, Ramona Hamm, Lorena Adams, Coena Gosche, Ann Wright Forbes, Bertilla Held and Agnes Spradlin.
Cremation and a memorial service will be held later, and her ashes scattered in the Pacific Ocean.
