COLETTA L. ZIEGLER

BENTON -- Coletta L. Ziegler, 79, of Benton, died Sunday Dec. 8, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born Dec. 4, 1912, in Benton, daughter of Joseph L. and Mary Walter Scherer.

She married John Ziegler on Nov. 20, 1934, in Benton. He preceded her in death on May 6, 1988.

She was a member of the St. Denis Catholic Church and the St. Ann Sodality.

Survivors are three sons, Harold Ziegler, Kansas City, Jerome Ziegler, Jackson, and John Ziegler, Benton; six daughters, Irma Beussink, Jackson, Mary Horrell, Chaffee, LaVerne Heuring, Benton, Josephine Terry, Ocala, Fla., Joyce Ann Schilling, El Paso, Texas, and Geralyn Riley, Blodgett; one brother, Cyril Scherer, Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Marcella Robinson, Cape Girardeau, and Alma Habenstreit, Marble Hill; 33 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one grandchild, one great-grandchild, four brothers and four sisters.

Friends may call today after 2 p.m. at the Ford & Sons Funeral Chapel at Benton. Parish prayers will be held at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Denis Catholic Church. The Rev. Art Basler will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
