Clyde Sietman

ORAN, Mo. -- Clyde "Slats" Sietman, son of the late Bernard Frank and Theresa LeGrand Sietman, was born Oct. 8, 1927, in Oran and departed this life Monday, May 25, 2020, at his home in Oran at the age of 92.

Slats attended Guardian Angel Elementary School and graduated from Oran High School in 1945.

On Oct. 19, 1951, he was united in marriage to Zexia "Zeke" Bernard. She survivors of the home, after 68 years of marriage.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, stationed in Korea, and was a former supervisor technician for Southern Clay Co. in Oran.

Slats held a special place in the lives of many people and was loved for his sweet smile and disposition. He loved his family, sweets, pecans and fishing, especially for grinnell and bluegill.

Besides his wife, survivors include a son, Bernard Sietman (Heather Ridings) of Pepin, Wisconsin; sister, Rita Pearl of Jonesboro, Illinois; five nephews; and a special niece, Rozz (Jonathan) Ridings.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Sietman, and a sister, Mary Jane Waters.

Interment will follow at a later date at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, with Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel of Chaffee, Missouri, conducting arrangements.
