CLYDE SHEFFER

DONGOLA, Ill. -- Clyde Sheffer, 91, of Dongola died Sunday, Jan. 24, 1999, at the Illinois Veterans Home in Anna.

He was born Oct. 21, 1907, son of Aurelius and Nancy Betts Sheffer. He was married to Anna Louise Sheffer. She died May 16, 1993.

He was a veteran of World War II.

He worked for R.E.A. and owned a hardware store in Dongola.

He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

Survivors include his daughter, Nancy Sheffer of Anna.

He was also preceded in death by an infant son.

Friends may call at the Crain Funeral Home in Dongola after 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. A.W. Landis will officiate. Burial will be in the Friendship Cemetery, with graveside military rites by Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455.
