MOUNDS, Ill. -- Clyde R. Ozment, 79, of Mounds, died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo. MOUNDS, Ill. -- Clyde R. Ozment, 79, of Mounds, died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

He was born Feb. 26, 1916, in Pulaski, son of Robert W. and Lou Etta King Ozment. He married Viola Marie Thompson, who died May 5, 1992. He later married Bertha Neill.

Ozment was a retired railroad clerk. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Pulaski. He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife; three stepsons, Freddie Walker of Memphis, Tenn., Albert Rampone of Knob Noster, Mo.; Charles Britt of New York; two stepdaughters, Dorothy Dennis of Cairo, Donna Keisjter of Denver, Colo.; five stepgrandchildren, and 14 great-stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Pleasant Church, with the Revs. R. Loren Robinson and Herman Painter officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Pulaski.

Friends may call at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge from 5-8 p.m. today, and after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.
