CLYDE JOSEPH SCAMELL JR.

PERRYVILLE -- Clyde Joseph Scamell Jr., 63, of Perryville died Friday, Sept. 16, 1994, at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville.

Scamell was born on June 2, 1931, in St. Louis County to Clyde and Helen Moore Scamell. He married Helen Hoehn Scamell on Nov. 26, 1957. She survives.

Scamell, a navy and army veteran of the Korean War, was a machinist at St. Mary's Seminary in Perryville.

Survivors in addition to his wife include a son, Michael Joseph Scamell of Perryville; a daughter, Julie Ann Cordia of Perryville and four grandchildren.

Friends may call the Young and Son Funeral Home in Perryville from 4-9 p.m. Sunday and from 6:30-10 a.m. Monday. Funeral service will be at the funeral home Monday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will follow at the Mount Hope Cemetery.
