ORAN -- Funeral service for Clyde Eugene Mungle of Oran will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran. The Rev. Don Russell will officiate. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery at Cape Girardeau.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today.
Mungle, 74, died Wednesday, May 10, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born July 15, 1920, at Burfordville, son of Clarence and Alpha McClreaph Mungle. He and Marion Francis Cruce were married July 18, 1959. She died Jan. 6, 1990.
Mungle was retired from Lowes Inc. at Oran. He was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Oran, and Morley VFW Post. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include a son, Gary Mungle of Cape Girardeau; two daughters; two brothers, George Mungle of Chaffee, Earl Mungle of Little Rock, Ark.; two sisters, Monta Bartels of Columbia, Beulah Thorn of St. Louis; a grandchild; three stepgrandchildren, and six great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister.
