Cloia Kinder, daughter of Henry and Cassie Ander Patterson Menz, was born Sept. 22, 1930, in Randles. She departed this world and went to be with Jesus at her home, surrounded by her loved ones, Monday, Jan. 29, 2024, at the age of 93.
She was a former employee of Florsheim and Brown shoe factories in Chaffee and Cape Girardeau. She was a member of Free Trinity Pentecostal Church in Randles since she was 9 years old, when her parents helped co-found the church years ago.
On April 21, 1951, she was united in marriage to Wesley B. Kinder Sr. in Piggott, Arkansas. He preceded her in death Aug. 5, 1994.
Survivors include one son, Wesley (Teresa) Kinder Jr., and a daughter, Debra Kinder, both of Randles; two grandsons, Shawn (Rebecca) Kinder and Lance (Kendra) Kinder; six great-grandchildren, Korbin, Rowan, Talon, Baylor, Jersie and Oaklie; and many others who lovingly referred to her as mom.
Besides her husband and parents, Cloia was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry and Freddie Menz, and three sisters, Malfeeda Menz, Juanita Jenice Tweedy and Flossie Boley.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Feb. 1, at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee.
Funeral will be at noon Thursday, Feb. 1, with Pastor Bill Carter officiating. Interment will follow in William Cemetery in Perkins.
