Clinton Wren Jr., 92, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018, at his home.
He was born March 10, 1925, in Scobey, Mississippi, to Clinton and Ruby Avant Wren. He and Eloise Wren were married in 1945 at Charleston, Mississippi.
He grew up working on the farm as a young boy. Later on, with his brother Earvin's help, he became a concrete man. He continued masonry work until his work's end.
Survivors include his three sons, Clinton Wren of Cape Girardeau, Curtis (Michelle) Wren of High Ridge, Missouri, and Leroy Wren of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Barbara Wren and Shelia (Keith) Vain, both of Cape Girardeau; three brothers, Earvin (Betty) Wren of Oklahoma City and Charlie (Pauline) Wren and Roosevelt "Paul" Wren, both of Memphis, Tennessee; four sisters, Mary (J.B.) Edwards of Scobey, Annie May "Goodie" Murry of Glendora, Mississippi, and Helen Wren and Dorothy Totten, both of Memphis; 31 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sons, two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at Greater Dimension Ministries in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral will follow at noon, with the Rev. William Byrd officiating. Burial will be at New Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
