CAIRO, Ill. -- Clifford Young, 90, Cairo Route 1, died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
He was born Jan. 28, 1905, in Finger, Tenn., son of James and Sally McIntyre Young.
Young was a retired machinist with Farmers Cotton Gins. He was a member of the Church of Christ and American Legion. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Vada; a daughter, Carolyn O'Rourke of Urbana; a stepson, Donald Turner of Cairo; a sister, Lucille Punk of Selmer, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo from 9-11 a.m. Saturday.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Richard Mansel officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.
