MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Clifford A. "Jack" Rooker, 70, of Marble Hill died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born June 16, 1931, at Portageville, Mo., son of Clifford Elwood and Eva Belle Ferry Rooker. He and Jeanette M. Ferguson were married Aug. 22, 1950, in Haywood, Mo.
Rooker formerly owned Jack's Auto Parts in Marble Hill. He was a member of Little Valley Baptist Church, Trowell Masonic Lodge 440, and charter member of Marble Hill Optimist Club. He was a deacon 35 years in various Baptist churches.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Woody Rooker of Delta, Mo., Phillip Rooker of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Yvonne Massey of St. Louis, Demitria Nanney of Marble Hill, Julia Harms of Ballwin, Mo.; three brothers, Earl Rooker of Poplar Bluff, Mo., B.J. Rooker of New Madrid, Mo., Lloyd Rooker of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, Alice Nicastro of Ellisville, Mo., Eva Golightly of Grand Blanc, Mich.; 19 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 4-8 p.m. today, and Saturday after 11 a.m. at Harmony Congregational Methodist Church.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Revs. Aaron Allen and Bruce Pittmann officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery.
