CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Clifford D. Crump, 71, of Belleville, Ill., died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2000, at Belleville Memorial Hospital. He was born March 17, 1929, at Chaffee, son of Ernest Kirby and Ida Mae Williams Crump. He and Norma O'Mara were married March 3, 1967...

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Clifford D. Crump, 71, of Belleville, Ill., died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2000, at Belleville Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 17, 1929, at Chaffee, son of Ernest Kirby and Ida Mae Williams Crump. He and Norma O'Mara were married March 3, 1967.

Crump retired as a machinist from T.J. Gundlach Machine Shop in Belleville. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Belleville, VFW Post 3127 at Chaffee and International Machinists Association.

He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Mike Crump of Belleville; a daughter, Carol Cline of Belleville; two brothers, Harrel and Paul Crump of Chaffee; four sisters, Ethel Anderson and Dorothy Nobles of Scott City, Bernice Ancell and Coletta Hahn of Chaffee; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 4 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the chapel, with Dr. Clarence Haege officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
