ANNA, Ill. -- Cletus E. Glaab, 76, of Anna died Sunday, June 10, 2001, at his home. He was born Feb. 7, 1925, in McClure, Ill., son of John M. and Elsie Mae Baugher Glaab. He and Ruth D. Tully were married Oct. 31, 1947, at Jackson, Mo. Glaab retired from American Water Works in Cairo, Ill., in 1987, and also retired from Cairo Police Department...

ANNA, Ill. -- Cletus E. Glaab, 76, of Anna died Sunday, June 10, 2001, at his home.

He was born Feb. 7, 1925, in McClure, Ill., son of John M. and Elsie Mae Baugher Glaab. He and Ruth D. Tully were married Oct. 31, 1947, at Jackson, Mo.

Glaab retired from American Water Works in Cairo, Ill., in 1987, and also retired from Cairo Police Department.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Jeanie Wilkins of Leesburg, Va.; a son, Thomas Glaab of Villa Ridge, Ill.; four brothers, Darold Glaab of Charleston, Ind., Kenny and Richard Glaab of Louisville, Ky., Dale Glaab of Cabot, Ark.; four sisters, Evelyn Thompson of Santa Maria, Calif., Sandy, Brenda and Beverly of Louisville; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna after 6 p.m. today.

Funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Lonnie Dale officiating. Burial will be in Lindsey Cemetery at McClure, with military rites by Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455 in Anna.
