Cleora Pfautsch, 84, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
She was born April 5, 1928, in Little Berger, Mo., to Otto and Alma Vogel Jannusch. She and Marvin Pfautsch were married Sept. 17, 1949, in Hermann, Mo. They were married for 62 years. He preceded her in death Dec. 29, 2011.
Cleora was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and was a teacher's aide at St. Vincent de Paul School for 28 years. She loved helping children. After retiring, Cleora enjoyed volunteering at Saint Francis Medical Center.
Survivors include two sons, Mark (Lynda) Pfautsch and Brian (Anita) Pfautsch of Cape Girardeau; two granddaughters, Gretchen Pfautsch of St. Louis and Claire Pfautsch of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Helen Lenger of Jefferson City, Mo.; a brother-in-law, Kenny (Beverly) Pfautsch of Hermann; two sisters-in-law, Mary Jane Ocheskey of New Haven, Mo., and Mary Ann Pfautsch of Hermann; many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. David Hulshof officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Vincent de Paul School Building Fund.
