BLOOMFIELD -- Cleo "Joe" Rhine, 73, of Bloomfield died Saturday, May 24, 1997 at Dexter Memorial Hospital.
He was born Feb. 28, 1924, in Bakersfield, Mo., son of Bert and Ann McFarland Rhine.
He married Elsie Bolden on Sept. 27, 1941, at Grayridge.
He was a retired carpenter. He lived in Michigan for about 14 years and was a former resident of Grayridge and Idalia.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Herbert Cleo Rhine and Jamie Paul Rhine of Bloomfield, and Joe B. Rhine of Dexter; three daughters, Geneie Snyder of Dexter, Mary Virginia Donaldson of Rapid City, S.D., and Peggy Norma Hughey of Fernanda Beach, Fla.; a brother, Rufus Rhine of Bakersfield; a sister, Mint Garner of Bakersfield; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Gerald King officiating. Interment will be in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.
