Clementine J. Masters, 79, died Monday, Aug. 19, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born June 1, 1912, at Apple Creek, the daughter of Benjamin and Rose Ponder Buchheit. She later married Harry Masters; he preceded her in death on June 17, 1982.
Survivors include six sisters, Bertha Hudson of Seaside, Calif., Dolores Stieneker of St. Peters, Mo., Luella Reitz of St. Louis, Edna Taylor of St. Ann, Sally Pingel of Perryville, and Blanche Kohlfeld of Cape Girardeau.
Two brothers preceded her in death.
She lived most of her married life in St. Louis. She worked at International Shoe Co. and Curle Clothing Co. She was a member of the Ladies' Garment Union.
In 1955, she moved from St. Louis to Fredericktown, where she and her husband owned and operation Big St. Francois Riverview Resort near Fredericktown. She moved to Cape Girardeau in 1984.
She attended St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at a site to be announced. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis. Visitation will be today from 4-8 p.m. at Ford and Son's Mt. Auburn chapel.
