Funeral service for Cleatus F. Henson of Cape Girardeau will be held at 1 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. The Rev. Cecil Keller will officiate, with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Bell City.
Henson, 80, died Monday, Nov. 20, 1995, at Vencor Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born March 24, 1915, in Bell City, son of Andrew and Ida Keller Henson. He and Wilma Swank were married April 19, 1934, in Marion, Ill. She died March 22, 1992. He and Bedith Ralph were married Feb. 27, 1993, in Cape Girardeau.
Henson was postmaster at Bell City 35 years. He was a member of Bell City General Baptist Church, member and past master of Bell City Masonic Lodge, and past worthy patron in Order of Eastern Star. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Brady Henson of Overland Park, Kan.; a daughter, Julia Beck of Germantown, Tenn.; a stepson, Bill Woods of Columbia; three stepdaughters, Jody Wagner of Cape Girardeau, Marilyn Kavouras of Sacramento, Calif., Connie Arnold of Scott City; a brother, Roger Henson of Enville, Tenn.; 14 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
