MARBLE HILL -- Clayton A. Whitener Jr., 63, of Glen Allen, died Monday, Aug. 17, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born May 6,. 1929, at Marquand, son of Clayton and Bertha Rickman Whitener. They both survive.
On July 24, 1951, he married Essie Mouser. She survives.
Other survivors include four sons, Dennis Whitener of Arnold, Mo., Jack Whitener, Keith Whitener and Kenneth Whitener, all of Glen Allen; a daughter, Regina Benefield of Jackson; three brothers, Ronald Whitener of Greenville, Tenn., Cecil Whitener, Fredericktown, and Frank Whitener, of Eureka, Mo.; and 12 grandchildren.
He was retired from the National Lead Co., of St. Louis, and was a farmer.
He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church at Gravelton, Mo.
He was an Army veteran.
Service will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Kirk Schmeisser officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
