Claudine R. Dunne, 83, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, at The Lutheran Home.
She was born Nov. 14, 1919, in Greensboro, Md., the daughter of Henry Claude and Mary Bethany Sparks Rawlings. She married Lewis Dunne on April 13, 1941, in Hamilton Park, Del.
She was a member of Scriptural Evangelical Lutheran Church in Egypt Mills, Mo.
Mrs. Dunne was a registered nurse who trained at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Md., which later became part of The Johns Hopkins Health System. She worked at other hospitals, in a doctor's office, at the Scott Paper Co. and finally as nursing supervisor at Folcroft Vo-Tech School in Pennsylvania before her retirement.
Survivors include: her husband; one daughter and son-in-law, Claudia and Randy Haley of Cape Girardeau; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Shirley Dunne of Lakewood, Colo., and Stephen and Gwen Dunne of Carrizozo, N.M.; one sister, Elizabeth W. Merchant of Claymont, Del.; 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by one sister.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ford & Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Scriptural Evangelical Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Henry Gieschen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
