VANDUSER -- Claude Ray Hatley, 80, of Vanduser died Friday, April 12, 1996, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born March 15, 1916, in Frederick, Okla., to Enos and Pearl Price Hatley.
He married Ruth Gean on July 23, 1942, in Portageville. She survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Donald Hatley and Ronald Hatley, both of Vanduser, and Michael Hatley of Oran; seven daughters, Claudette Challand and Marie Bryeans, both of Oran, Linda Hatley of Bloomfield, Marsha Amos and Donna Graviett, both of Vanduser, Darline Brown and Ronna Bivens, both of Sikeston; a brother, Enos D. Hatley Jr. of Garland, Texas; three sisters, Nadine Moss of Fredericktown, Mary Bell Atwood of Wardell and Juanita New of Santa Maria, Calif.; 22 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, a daughter and two brothers.
Hatley was a cotton ginner for E.P. Coleman and a road grader for the Scott County Highway Department.
He was a member of the Little Vine Baptist Church.
Friends may call Sunday from 5-8 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
Funeral service will be at the funeral chapel Monday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Marvin Graham officiating.
Burial will be in Old Morley Cemetery.
