PATTON -- Claude A. Mungle, 78, of Patton died Monday, May 25, 1998, at his home.
He was born March 17, 1920, at Patton, son of James and Laura Yount Mungle. He and Germaine Smith were married March 31, 1946.
Mungle retired as a transfer clerk with the U.S. Post Office. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville. Mungle was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Michael Mungle of Joliet, Mont.; three daughters, Claudette Snelson of St. Charles, Connie Dixon of Rosebud, Carrie Thorne of Patton; two brothers, Glen Mungle of Viburnum, Kent Mungle of Patton; two sisters, Edna Reagan and Nancy Heitman of Patton; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Patton from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jeffrey Lloyd officiating. Burial will be in Patton Cemetery at Patton.
