BERTRAND -- Clarice "Evelyn" Jobe, 69, of Bertrand died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, at her home.
She was born May 8, 1930, in Doniphan, daughter of William "Arnold" and Clarice H. Featherston Braschler. Her mother survives of Donibookkeeper and teller at the Bank of Doniphan. She moved to Sikeston in 1954 and worked as a bookkeeper and teller at Planter's Bank for four years. She also worked as a bookkeeper at Harris Oil Co. in Bertrand from 1987 to 1992. She was a member of the Cornerstone General Baptist Church in Bertrand.
She also is survived by a son, Dennis L. Jobe of Duncanville, Texas; a daughter, Brenda J. Custer of Troy, Ill., two brothers, Lestel "Buck" Braschler of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Philip Braschler of Doniphan; two sisters, Arnita Nickerson of Arlington, Va., and Glynda Mekonen of Dallas, Texas; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father and a son.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Dave Cullen officiating.
Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
